Software Engineer

Technology Unlimited Group (TUG) is seeking a System Engineer to support software development projects. Activities will include software development for advanced tactical command, control and communications projects, software and system integration, software and system testing, and technical documentation development. The work will be conducted on Sun/Solaris and PC/Windows platforms, and requires strong knowledge of Java.

Limited domestic travel will be required in support of these duties.

Qualifications:

The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years programming experience with knowledge of
Java, C/C++, operator interface design and test tools. Knowledge of simulator design and
development as well as familiarity with standard software development processes and procedures
(e.g., Peer Reviews, software version control) is also required.

The candidate should have knowledge of basic TCP/IP network programming as well as static
and dynamically linked library development. The candidate should have knowledge of System
Administration. System Admin certification is desirable for Windows and Unix (preferred).

Familiarity with mapping packages (e.g., OpenMap™), Common Data Link operations, and/or
routing protocols is desirable.

The candidate should be experienced in the use of defined software methodologies that include
adherence to defined software development processes (including CM), Spiral Development
model, and the generation of 'MIL-STD' like documentation using the IEEE 12207 standard.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in a related subject.

The successful candidate must have held an Active security clearance within the last 2 years.
