Holidays & PTO Holidays Technology Unlimited Group (TUG) observes ten paid holidays each year. Accordingly, eligible full-time employees will receive the equivalent of 80 hours of holiday pay. TUG allows eligible part-time employees to receive six/four hours of holiday pay for each approved holiday or the maximum equivalent of 60/40 hours of holiday pay per year for three-quarters and part-time employees, respectively. These holidays are set to coincide with government holidays. Holidays currently observed include:
Personal Time Off Technology Unlimited Group believes that Personal Time Off (PTO) is a necessary component of each employee’s health and well-being. PTO is used to cover absences from work for vacation, illness, medical appointments or treatments, jury duty or witness service, as well as numerous other reasons. An employee accrues PTO for every paid hour. PTO is accrued on a prorated basis using a standard formula based on a 2080-hour work year and the employee's years of service. New employees earn PTO at a rate of three weeks per year. PTO is paid at the employee’s hourly rate at the time PTO is taken. For the first five years of continuous employment at TUG, employees earn the equivalent of three weeks of PTO per year. Beginning in the sixth year, an additional day of PTO is added to the accrual rate every other year of service at TUG until the employee has reached a max of 23 days of PTO per year. To assist new employees, during the first six months of employment, an employee may request a one-time PTO advance of up to 40 hours. |
